Injection Mold Manufacturer for Custom Mold Design & Manufacturing

Maidder Technology Co., Ltd. is a custom injection mold manufacturer based in Hengli Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong, China. Founded in 2016, we design and build production tooling in-house — from single-cavity prototypes to multi-cavity, 2K, and auto-unscrewing molds up to 15 tons — then run the parts on our own injection machines under 24-hour shifts. DFM reports and Moldflow analysis come standard, not as an afterthought.

If your project needs a plastic mold manufacturer who owns the toolroom, the presses, and the inspection lab under one roof, this page covers what we build and how we work.

What We Build: Mold Types and Tooling Capability

Mold design choices decide your cycle time, scrap rate, and per-part cost for the next several years. We build the following tool types in-house:

  • Multi-cavity molds — for higher volumes where cycle efficiency and cavity balance matter.
  • Auto-unscrewing molds — for threaded closures, caps, and parts that would otherwise require manual unscrewing or secondary operations.
  • 2K molds (two-shot) — for hard-soft combinations, multi-color parts, and assemblies consolidated into a single molding cycle.
  • Overmolds — for grips, seals, and encapsulated inserts where substrate bonding is critical.
  • Collapsible-core molds — for deep internal undercuts that would normally require complex side actions.
  • Gas-assist molds — for thick sections, large flat parts, and warp-prone geometries where sink marks and cycle time are concerns.
  • Molds up to 15 tons — covering a wide range of part sizes and press fitments.

Beyond tooling, our one-stop scope includes product development, 3D printing, mold and fixture manufacturing, injection molding, and assembly. That means the same engineering team that reviews your CAD also signs off on the first article.

In-House Toolroom: CNC, EDM, Wire Cutting

Mold lead time is largely a scheduling problem — and scheduling is easier when nothing is outsourced. Our toolroom runs:

  • CNC machining centers for cavity, core, and insert work
  • EDM machines for fine detail and hard-to-reach geometry
  • Wire cutting for precise profiles, shut-offs, and insert splitting
  • Injection molding machines (Yizumi and Tairui) from 130T to 500T, running 24-hour shifts
  • CMM, vision measuring instruments, calipers, colorimeter, and melt flow indexer for dimensional and material verification
  • Minitab statistical software for process capability analysis

An independent design department supports tooling layout, cooling design, runner systems, and ejection strategy. For complex, high-precision parts, we provide free Moldflow analysis to test fill patterns, weld line locations, and cooling performance before steel is cut. Every project also receives a DFM report — so you see wall thickness risks, draft issues, and tolerance conflicts while changes are cheapest.

DFM and Moldflow: Cheaper Decisions Before Steel Is Cut

The most expensive mold change is the one made after heat treatment. Our front-end engineering is built to move those decisions earlier:

  1. DFM review of your 3D data and 2D requirements, with a written report.
  2. Moldflow analysis on complex or high-precision parts at no charge, to validate gate location, fill balance, and warpage risk.
  3. Tooling design review covering parting line, cooling circuit layout, ejection, and steel selection.
  4. Design freeze and manufacturing release.

Our engineering team brings 15 years of mold design and tooling experience to this process. Where a design change is unavoidable, we quote the modification scope clearly — steel addition or removal, welding, and insert remake — with a defined lead time before work starts.

How We Document Mold Changes: A 2020 Project Example

Mold engineering changes are where cost transparency matters most. In 2020, we handled an ECN project for an HP printer base (part F0V63-90005). The scope covered steel addition and removal, plus welding and remake of cavity and core inserts, moving the part from Rev 4.9 to Rev 12.1. Modification cost was USD 25,000 with a documented three-week lead time, and the customer approved with the instruction "HP - Proceed this modf."

We present this as company project experience — a record of how we scope, quote, and execute tooling changes. Related capability areas include hard cooler ODM with secondary foam injection, large-format containers, medical device components, and automotive overmolding and 2K parts.

Our founder's pre-2016 career as a mold design engineer (2006–2016) at Junyi, Foxconn-group Fugang, and Fuyu shaped how this toolroom operates. That background is separate from Maidder company project history.

Mold Ownership, Maintenance, and Storage Terms

Tooling terms are often where suppliers get vague. Ours are straightforward:

  • You own the mold. The tool is your asset, not ours.
  • Free mold maintenance as part of the working relationship.
  • One year of free mold storage after the project, so you are not paying warehousing on tooling you already own.
  • No MOQ, negotiable by project. Orders under 3,000 pcs incur a machine setup fee — quoted upfront, never a surprise.
  • Batch quality issues answered within one day.

Where compliance is part of your specification, tell us your application and target market; we will confirm suitable materials and documentation for your program. We hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001:2015. Certificates available upon request.

Quality Control Through the Mold's Life

Tooling quality shows up in batch consistency, so we control both:

  • First-article inspection against your drawings and CTQs
  • In-process patrol inspection with traceability records
  • Process testing and capability studies using Minitab
  • Per-product batch trace codes so any field issue maps back to a production window
  • PPAP approval process for automotive and regulated programs

Verification hardware includes CMM, vision measuring instruments, calipers, colorimeter, and melt flow indexer.

Lead Times: A Planning Approach

Tooling lead time depends on cavity count, part complexity, steel sizing, and surface requirements — not on a generic promise. What we can commit to is structure:

  • DFM and Moldflow output early, so design iterations do not consume manufacturing days
  • Mold modifications quoted with their own defined lead time
  • 24-hour injection shifts for sampling and production runs
  • Clear milestones from design freeze through T1 samples, corrections, and approval

Projects across North America, Europe, and Japan have run on this model. According to company information, we also operate a Cambodia production base with OEM Cambodia service, giving buyers an alternative manufacturing origin for qualifying programs.

Products We Mold Today

Two production programs are live and available for custom tooling:

  • Hard cooler 10QT hand-carry — 380 × 255 × 270 mm; company-reported: ice remains unmelted for 60 hours at 25 °C without frequent opening. Custom mold options: capacity, color, and logo.
  • Hard cooler 16QT shoulder-strap — 380 × 356 × 270 mm; the same company-reported 60-hour performance at 25 °C without frequent opening. Custom mold options: capacity, color, and logo.

These are examples of the build standard, not a catalog limit — most of our work is custom tooling for parts that do not exist yet.
