This page covers what our service includes, how an engagement runs step by step, what we need from you at each stage, and how to start with an RFQ.
Service Scope
Our custom injection molding services cover the full range of tooling and molding work required by industrial and consumer products.
Custom injection molding. Single-cavity and multi-cavity production tooling, with bridge tooling approaches available for early market entry. Molds up to 15 tons. Injection machines (Yizumi, Tairui) run from 130T to 500T on 24-hour shifts.
Insert molding and overmolding. Metal inserts, threaded inserts, and soft-touch elastomer overmolding onto rigid substrates in a single cycle or as a secondary operation.
Specialty mold types. We build and run multi-cavity molds, auto-unscrewing molds for threaded parts, 2K (two-shot) molds, overmolds, collapsible-core molds, and gas-assist molds.
Low-volume and bridge production options. No MOQ, negotiable per program. Orders under 3,000 pcs incur a machine setup fee, which is quoted upfront so there is no surprise on the invoice.
Prototyping support. 3D printing, CNC-machined prototypes, and mold & fixture manufacturing feed directly into tooling decisions. Prototypes from the same design intent as the production mold catch fit and assembly problems before steel is cut.
Assembly and finishing. Post-molding assembly, insert installation, and packaging as part of a one-stop flow from resin to boxed part.
How an Engagement Runs
Step 1 — RFQ and manufacturability review
You provide: 3D files (STEP or IGES preferred), 2D drawings with tolerances and critical dimensions, material preference, annual and first-order quantity, surface finish, color target, and required delivery date.
We return: a DFM report flagging draft angles, wall thickness variation, undercuts, gate and ejector locations, sink and warp risk, and tolerance conflicts — plus a quotation. For complex, high-precision products, Moldflow analysis is provided free of charge to assess fill balance, cooling, and warpage before tooling begins.
Step 2 — Mold design and approval
Our independent design department produces the mold layout: cavity arrangement, parting line, gating, cooling circuit, ejection, and steel selection. You approve the 2D mold drawing and any steel or hardness specification before machining starts.
Step 3 — Mold manufacturing
Machining runs through CNC machining centers, EDM, and wire cutting, with dimensional checks between operations. You receive progress updates at agreed milestones rather than silence.
Step 4 — T1 sampling and first-article inspection
We produce T1 samples and a first-article inspection report measured on CMM and vision measuring instruments, with calipers and a colorimeter used for dimensional and color verification. You review the samples against your drawing and either approve or return a marked change list.
Step 5 — PPAP approval, where required
We follow a PPAP approval process covering dimensional results, material certification, process capability, and appearance. You sign off on the PPAP submission as the production baseline.
Step 6 — Production molding
Production runs on 24-hour shifts with in-process patrol inspection and traceability. Every product batch carries a trace code tied to its molding parameters and inspection records, so a question raised months later can be traced to the actual run.
Step 7 — Assembly, packing, shipping
You provide the packaging specification and artwork requirements. We assemble, pack, and ship to your forwarder or nominated destination.
Materials We Handle
We mold general-purpose and engineering thermoplastics, including:
- ABS, PC, PC/ABS blends
- PP, HDPE, PS
- Nylon / PA (including glass-filled grades)
- POM, PMMA/acrylic
- TPU and TPE elastomers
- PET and other common molding resins
Material grades are selected with you based on mechanical load, temperature exposure, UV requirements, and chemical contact. For food-contact and children's products: tell us your application and target market; we will confirm suitable materials and documentation for your program.
Quality System
Quality is built into the process rather than inspected in at the end:
- First-article inspection on every new tool and every engineering change
- In-process patrol inspection with traceability during production
- Process testing and parameter records per mold and machine
- Per-product batch trace codes
- PPAP approval process for production release
- Minitab statistical software for capability and trend analysis
- Melt flow indexer for incoming resin verification
Our facilities operate under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001:2015. Certificates available upon request.
The engineering team brings 15 years of experience, and the founder's pre-2016 career as a mold design engineer at Junyi, Foxconn-group Fugang, and Fuyu shaped the discipline applied to tooling reviews today. Maidder was founded in 2016.
Typical Applications
Our molding capability covers consumer hard coolers and cooler boxes, large storage containers, medical device housings, ultrasound equipment components, automotive sunroof and interior components, office equipment parts, and industrial enclosures.
- Documented ECN example: HP printer base project, 2020 — part F0V63-90005, engineering change with steel addition and removal, welding and remake of CAV/COR inserts, revision 4.9 to 12.1, modification cost USD 25,000, documented 3-week lead time, customer-approved change order
- Hard cooler ODM: folding coolers, multi-size hard coolers, and cooler boxes with secondary foam injection
- Large-format containers: storage containers where mold size, cooling, and cycle time dominate the business case
- Medical components: device housings and ultrasound equipment parts with dimensional repeatability and documentation
- Automotive: sunroof, interior, and functional components with overmolding and 2K capability
Two current production items are hard coolers: a 10QT hand-carry model at 380 x 255 x 270 mm and a 16QT shoulder-strap model at 380 x 356 x 270 mm. Company-reported: ice remains unmelted for 60 hours at 25°C without frequent opening. Both are available as custom molds for capacity, color, and logo.
Alternative Manufacturing Origin: Cambodia Production Base
According to company information, we offer a Cambodia production base and OEM Cambodia service as an alternative manufacturing origin for buyers managing landed cost. Origin planning affects tooling location and approval sequence, and should be reviewed project by project.
How to Start: RFQ Checklist
Send the following to get an accurate quotation and DFM feedback:
- 3D model files (STEP, IGES, or native format) and 2D drawings with tolerances
- Material requirement, or the functional conditions the part must survive
- Annual volume and first-order quantity
- Surface finish, texture, and color target
- Critical dimensions and any cosmetic acceptance criteria
- Target delivery date and destination market
Reviews are handled by the Engineering Team, and quotations come from the Sales Team with the commercial terms stated clearly — tooling cost, piece price, lead time, and any setup fees.
Commercial Terms
- No MOQ, negotiable per program
- Orders under 3,000 pcs incur a machine setup fee, quoted in advance
- Molds belong to the customer, with free maintenance and 1-year free storage
- Batch quality issues answered within 1 day
Other Services
Tooling and molding programs often pair with mold manufacturing and tooling for fixtures and production molds, and with DFM and Moldflow analysis when a design needs validation before steel is cut. Where a program starts from a sketch, our product development support takes it from concept through 3D printing to production.
