We provide one-stop services from product development and 3D printing to mold and fixture manufacturing, injection molding, and assembly. For applications where contamination control is critical, our clean room injection molding service combines controlled production environments with documented quality systems and traceability. Tell us your application and target market; we will confirm suitable materials and documentation for your program.
What Clean Room Injection Molding Means
Clean room injection molding is the production of plastic parts in a controlled environment where airborne particles, fibers, microbes, and other contaminants are managed through air filtration, gowning, material handling, and mold care. The goal is not simply a cleaner floor. It is to protect the part from contamination at every step: resin handling, melting, injection, cooling, ejection, inspection, and packaging.
In a standard molding area, dust and airborne particles are tolerable for many industrial parts. In a clean room, those same particles can cause cosmetic defects, functional failures, or regulatory rejection. Controlled airflow, restricted access, and disciplined changeovers reduce the risk of cross-contamination between materials and colors. The process also demands documentation. Maidder supports clean room programs with first-article inspection, in-process patrol inspection with traceability, process testing, per-product batch trace codes, and a PPAP approval process.
Which Products Need Contamination-Controlled Molding
Not every plastic part needs a clean room. The decision usually comes down to patient safety, food safety, optical performance, or child safety. The following categories commonly require clean room injection molding.
Medical and Diagnostic Devices
Medical devices, diagnostic equipment, and single-use components must be free from dust, fibers, and biological contaminants that could affect performance or patient safety. Clean room molding helps protect fluid paths, housings, connectors, and precision components. Maidder molds components for medical device and diagnostic equipment programs. Our engineering team can review part design, material selection, and mold layout before steel is cut. For related programs, see medical injection molding.
Food-Contact and Children's Products
Food-contact containers, lids, kitchen tools, and children's products require materials selected against FDA requirements for the intended use. Clean room production reduces the risk of foreign particles being trapped in the part or transferred to food. Tell us your application and target market; we will confirm suitable materials and documentation for your program. Certificates available upon request.
Optical and Precision Components
Optical parts, light guides, lenses, and precision housings are sensitive to dust, scratches, and contamination. Even a single fiber can create a visible defect or affect light transmission. Clean room molding, combined with controlled mold cleaning and handling, protects surface quality. Maidder's inspection equipment includes CMM, vision measuring instruments, calipers, and a colorimeter to verify critical dimensions and appearance.
Our Clean Room Production Environment
Maidder's clean room injection molding service is built around contamination control, process discipline, and traceability. We operate injection molding machines from Yizumi and Tairui with 130-500T clamping force, running 24-hour shifts. Our mold manufacturing, CNC machining, EDM, and wire cutting capabilities are managed under one roof, which shortens the path from design to validated production.
The independent design department and engineering team bring 15 years of experience. For complex, high-precision products, we provide free Moldflow analysis and DFM reports before mold manufacturing. This front-end engineering reduces costly mold changes and improves sampling success. Our quality system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001:2015. We use Minitab statistical software to monitor process capability.
According to company information, our Cambodia production base supports OEM Cambodia service for programs that need an alternative manufacturing origin. See the about page for our production footprint. We do not publish cleanroom class numbers or certificate numbers in marketing content because those details depend on the specific production line and program. Buyers should request current documentation for their audit. Certificates available upon request.
Mold Technologies That Support Clean Room Molding
The mold itself is part of contamination control. Poor venting, trapped gas, and excessive flash create particles and require secondary operations that can introduce contamination. Maidder designs and builds multi-cavity molds, auto-unscrewing molds, 2K molds, overmolds, collapsible-core molds, and gas-assist molds. Molds can be built up to 15 tons.
These mold types can reduce or eliminate secondary operations, which lowers contamination risk and improves cycle consistency. Our DFM reports flag issues such as sharp corners, uneven wall thickness, and difficult ejection before the mold is cut. For complex parts, free Moldflow analysis helps predict fill, packing, and cooling behavior. See DFM analysis for how this front-end review works.
Quality Systems and Traceability
Clean room molding depends on documented quality. Maidder uses first-article inspection to approve the initial sample, in-process patrol inspection with traceability to monitor production, and process testing to confirm the molding window. Every product batch receives a trace code. We follow a PPAP approval process for automotive, medical, and industrial customers. If a batch quality issue occurs, we answer within 1 day.
Commercial terms are flexible: no MOQ (negotiable), orders under 3000 pcs incur a machine setup fee, and molds belong to the customer with free maintenance and 1-year free storage. Our markets include North America, Europe, and Japan.
Project Experience
Maidder has supported customers on a range of molding and development programs. Company project experience includes the HP printer base ECN project in 2020 (part F0V63-90005, engineering change with add/remove steel, welding and remake of CAV/COR inserts, Rev 4.9 to Rev 12.1, mod cost USD 25,000, documented 3-week lead time, customer-approved change order).
Our capability covers hard cooler ODM with secondary foam injection, large-format containers, medical device components, and automotive overmolding and 2K parts. These programs reflect our ability to manage engineering changes, tooling modifications, and production ramp-ups under customer approval.
One-Stop Development and Production
Maidder provides custom plastic injection molding ODM/OEM services from product development through assembly. Our services include product development, 3D printing, mold and fixture manufacturing, injection molding, and assembly. Customers use us as a single source for tooling and production, which reduces communication gaps and shortens lead times.
If you need a clean room injection molding partner for a medical, food-contact, children's, or optical program, our Sales Team and Engineering Team can review your drawings, material requirements, and compliance targets. We will recommend a mold plan, sampling schedule, and inspection strategy.
